Matthew J. Richer

Matthew J. Richer represents clients in personal injury cases and commercial litigation.

Matt is a lifelong resident of Kenosha. He graduated from Kenosha Bradford High School and Carthage College. Matt was a part of the Bradford High School baseball team that won the state championship in 2008. While at Carthage College, Matt was elected Team Captain during his senior season and earned All-Conference honors. He graduated from Carthage College Magna Cum Laude in 2014 with a Bachelors of Arts Degree in History.

Matt graduated from Marquette University Law School in 2017. While in law school, he served as an intern with the Milwaukee County District Attorney’s Office. Matt was named to the Dean’s List multiple times, and earned the Cali Excellence for the Future Award in Advanced Brief Writing. He was also a Staff Editor for the Marquette Welfare and Social Benefits Law Review, and was inducted to the Marquette Pro Bono Honor Society for his volunteer work in the Milwaukee Community.

Matt is admitted to practice law in all counties in the the State of Wisconsin, and the United States District Court of the Eastern District of Wisconsin. He is a member of the Wisconsin State Bar Association, the Wisconsin Defense Council, and the Kenosha County Bar Association. 

Matt is also serving his country as a member of the Army Reserves, and is a First Lieutenant in the Army Judge Advocate Corp. During his active duty, he will represent active and reserve soldiers in a wide range of civil matters. 

When Matt is not working, he enjoys spending time with his family and friends and enjoying all that Kenosha has to offer. Matt continues to play baseball in a recreational league, enjoys golf, and frequently attends Kenosha Kingfish games and Kenosha’s Harbor Market.
